Breeding Program
Our breeding program is one that pairs outstanding animals that compliment the good characteristics and attributes of each other. We pay close attention to confirmation and milk production producing does that are show quality, nice handling and quiet with good udders that produce good milk.
Backcountry animals are tested annually; our kids are on pasteurized milk (CAE prevention program). Kids from first freshners will sell from $200.00 up. All of our first freshners are from outstanding does. If any of the animals below do not have real good udders or can't be shown I will not sell kids from them. We also have several other first freshners that are from outcross breedings and would only sell kids after they meet my approval. Your inquiries are welcome. We guarantee all animals to be what we say they are.

Goldie is a 3 year old never been bred doe. Her full sister (Backcountry Butterscotch) was the 5th place 2year-old at the 04 Nationals in Harrisburg PA. We held Goldie over for a dry yearling and she was reserve champion 2 times. We sold her and again she was not bred. We now have her back and hopefully she will freshen as a 3 year-old. We will not promise or take deposits until we know she is bred.
