 "BACKCOUNTRY" was started in 1980 as an antique and auction business, but in 1995 we purchased our first goats with the intent of using them to clean up our pasture after we sold our Paint and Quarter horses. Well, things got worse. We fell in love with the Nubians and ultimately starting showing in 1996.
We have been very successful only showing 3 to 5 times a year. We now have some real quality milkers - for show or milk.
Our herd is certified and accredited and we are on a CAE prevention program. All kids are hand raised. |
